This past Tuesday (the 27th), John took me,Zack,Anne, and Anne's boyfriend, Jake to see/hear the Trans Siberian Orchestra. What an experience! If you don't know and have never been, it's a rock orchestra complete with classically trained musicians, singers, and includes a laser light show, fireworks, pyrotechnics and loud rock style music. Some of the songs are rewritten Christmas songs in a rock orchestra format. There was a narrator telling a Christmas story that blended with the music. The narrator had the most beautiful speaking voice.
The kids said they enjoyed it and I know both John and I did. We are already saying we will go again next year. You can "google" them to get to their website and you may have even heard a song or 2 of theirs on the radio.
A little longer audio/video here. Crank up your speakers.

What a nice thing to do. Did you have to go into the cities for this, or was it in Stockholm? I always think of the days between Christmas and New Year's as slow and easy. I haven't done much at all. Which is my stance for the other 51 weeks of the year as well. We're having summer weather here, while I hear you are having winter weather there. As it should be I suppose.
There's a video going around by this orchestra. They are awesome. If they make it to New Orleans or nearby, I'm in.
Nancy, I keep saying I'm going to see them and once again this year I didn't make it. I do own two of their cd's. Beethoven's Last Night and Christmas Eve and Other Stories. I'm glad to hear it's a good show. See you there next year.
How fun!!! I am going to write myself a note to check into tickets for next year. Glad you had fun! Carol
This is a big ticket concert, held at the Target Center in Mpls. Luckily the snow/freezing rain held off until last night so we didn't have any travel concerns.
